The combined Rotary Clubs of the Atherton Tablelands have great pleasure in announcing the sponsorship of the 2011 Rabobank FNQ Field Days by local firm Tableland Pump & Irrigation Repairs and Service. The Yungaburra-based family company has built a solid reputation well-beyond the Tablelands for service to customers.
Founded by Jim and Robyn Grimshaw barely 9 years ago, Tableland Pump & Irrigation.
Tableland Pump & Irrigation are stockists/dealers for a comprehensive range of irrigation equipment, including Orange Pumps, Lowarrra pumps, Southern Cross pumps, Davey Pool Products, Toro, Guyco and Vinidex irrigation equipment – and others.
Operating from leafy Yungaburra, the company is rightly proud of it’s rapid mobile service facility, which repairs and services pumping and irrigation equipment of all makes and models. We have now moved in 18 Eacham Street, Yungaburra.
Says co-founder Robyn Grimshaw: “We can supply and install a variety of pumping and irrigation products ranging from micro through to under-tree and solid set underground mainlines. Our business covers the banana, citrus, fruit and grazing industries – and we also cater extensively for domestic requirements with an extensive range of fittings, pipes and pumps from borehole pumps to household pressure systems”.
Farmers, folks who live on rural-residential properties and ‘townie’-householders who need the expertise and experience of service-conscious irrigation experts can contact Tableland Pump and Irrigation Repairs and Service on 40952444. We have now moved into our shop at Yungaburra.
Rabobank Rotary FNQ Field Days chairman Dr. Iain Fogg enthusiastically welcomed the sponsorship – the FIRST ever by a totally local, relatively small firm. “Tableland Pump & Irrigation are our foundation local sponsors”, explains Dr. Fogg, “and our committee is delighted to express our congratulations to the Grimshaws for their foresight. All Rotarians strongly support the concept of preference for locally-owned family firms in this era of globalism, and Tableland Pump & Irrigation Repairs & Service have set a fine example for other local firms to follow”.
Super-quiet operation, cost saving and dependability are the hallmarks of the Davey Silensor range of swimming pool pumps – available from Tableland Pump & Irrigation Repairs and Service in Yungaburra.
Designed and manufactured in Australia the new Silensor is powered by the acclaimed, award winning and patented Davey water-cooled electric motor.
The range of Silensor pumps run at noise levels which are significantly lower than normal talking levels. This ultra-quiet operation is achieved with a water-silenced motor that uses a small water flow around the motor shell to capture noise and vibrations. Being water-cooled the motor does not require fan-cooling, which adds to the noise produced by most common pumps.
Importantly, motor-heated water from the Silensor is sent back to the swimming pool. This heated water aids in the temperature maintenance of your pool and potentially reduces energy consumption used in your primary heating source.
A key benefit of Silensor is that your neighbours are unlikely to be disturbed by noise from the pump. This is an important consideration since most domestic swimming pools, their pumps and associated fittings typically adjoin dividing fences. The Silensor’s low operational noise will also provide you with a more tranquil environment for your relaxation and entertaining times, which only adds to the enjoyment of your backyard oasis.
If you are required to run more than one pump due to the size of your pool, or because you are running water features or solar heating with dedicated pumps, then this is more reason to demand the super-quiet Silensor pumps for all your pool pumping needs.
With lower electricity tariffs often provided by energy utilities at off-peak times (through the night), an ultra-quiet pool pump will potentially provide you with significant savings in energy over a year of operation. All Davey Silensor pumps emit less than 57 dBa at a distance of 1 meter.
The Silensor range was designed from the outset for efficiency. Using the latest computational fluid dynamics the water passages of the pump have been refined to give the Silensor greater hydraulic efficiency for a given power, than many other makes of swimming pool pumps. This benefit, along with motor-heated water, can mean additional savings of over $100 per year in energy costs.
Additional features of the Silensor range of pool pumps include automatic ‘dry run’ protection which means that the mechanical and motor components are completely protected against loss of water supply which can occur with blockages in the pump’s water supply.
Equally at home with chlorinated or salt water, the complete pump assembly is UV stabilised for outdoor installation and is entirely corrosion proof.
The SLL model Silensors also feature a huge leaf basket allowing longer intervals between cleaning, providing more convenience for you and more time for you to enjoy your lifestyle.
Davey Silensor is available in a choice of motor horsepowers to suit most pool sizes and filtration demands and is a member of the complete range of Davey Pool products which also includes sand and cartridge filters, salt water chlorinators and gas pool heating.
